My Story
JOHN:
Do the camera mic and stuff? This is Wednesday… August something? The year is 2008. I’m on my way to work. Last night I went out with my friend Dan. We went out late. I have a hangover…and I’m going to teach English.
JOHN:
So I grew up in New York, and I came to Thailand by chance. And I really liked it here. I like the food and the climate and the people. I decided to stay and now I’m an English teacher, which is… It’s a pretty easy job.
Anyway, I try to balance work and play, but sometimes I play a little too hard. Drink too much. Stay out too late. Wake up with a really bad hangover. For example…the other day when I went out with Dan…
it was pretty bad.
J: Some questions?
Q: Where did you go last night?
J: Oh, last night… last night I wanted to show my friend Dan a good time. So I took him to a bar called “Blues Bar”… where we had a drink. One drink turned into two drinks. Then we went to another bar. I can’t really remember the second bar… but I remember the third bar. We went to a bar named “Gazebo”.
I hate gazebo, but it’s the only bar open around 12 o’clock.
Q: What did Dan think of it?
J: Dan was loving it. Dan is from Ireland. Dan is a little bit of an alcoholic.
Q: So you got on well?
J: Yes, we did.
Q: If I hold the record display button (red light on the camera screen) in the middle of your head… you look like a Sikh.
J: Why do I look like a Sikh?
