Dan Is OK!

JOHN: Sometimes letting people stay at your place (house) can be a little bit annoying.

Dan: Johnny boy. I didn’t make it.
J: Dan! What the fuck happened!?
Dan: I just woke up.

J: When you want your own space. Dan. You look like shit. So you got home at 7am.

Dan: Yeah, I got home at 7am, and then my big mistake was that… this piece of bed here on which John was just sitting… (it) called me.
J: And… for example… someone is using your computer and you want to use it. But they need to use it because they are booking a flight (ticket) because they missed their flight.
Dan: So I’m kind of stuck here at the moment. I don’t know what’s what. Do you have a headset for Skype?
J: Yeah, I do.
Dan: We have to call some Airlines and shit.

J: But it comes with giving your couch up… what do you expect?
Dan: I’m really sorry I’m a bad person.

J: I plan on having many more people staying on my couch… actually… over the next couple of months. I joined a website called couchsurfing.com. Basically I let random people, who I don’t know, stay on my couch. And why am I doing it… well… I don’t know. Good question.

J: So in conclusion… Dan is OK and I’m not responsible, but… Dan’s not very happy right now.

J: When I was in New York, I had a lot of friends and I had a very social life. But here in Bangkok, there are only a few people that I hang out with really regularly. So, when I meet some people that I really like, I like to umm… invite them to stay at my place and go out at night with them. Have a fun time. Like Dan from Ireland…for example. I met him in Laos, and we had a really good time, and we went to Cambodia and saw all the temples. When he came back to Bangkok, on his way back to Ireland, he stayed at my place and we went out. We had a really fun time, ate some good food. When I go to Ireland, I’m sure I’ll see Dan.

J: Here I am. Getting one of my favorite meals in Thailand… ever. It’s called Khao Pen Gai

(Khao MAN Gai – he fucked up the name). What do you think about Khao Man Gai?

Dan: I’m pretty big on Khao Man Gai myself. John introduced it to me yesterday. It is “the shit” (very good).

J: How many times have you eaten it?

Dan: This will now be my 4th time.

J: In how many hours?

Dan: In about… something like 30 hours.

J: 30 hours… yeah, I guess that would be about right.

Dan: That’s a lot of fried chicken, but until you’ve tried this, you haven’t had fried chicken.

J: “You Aint had fried chicken until you’ve had Khao Man Gai”… alright.

Dan: Samsen Soi 5 (street address in Bangkok)
