Mae: You’re going to ask me a question?

William: Yeah!

Mae: Great, let’s make conversation.

William: Shalom

Mae: Hi. Shalom Shalom, Konichiwa.

William: Konichiwa. What is your name?

Mae: Mae. Maetal. My full name is Maetal.

William: What kind of name is that, Maetal?

Mae: It’s some kind of water. It’s the drops that… dew! So Mae is water. It’s Mae (water) of dew. My name is water.

William: So it’s a Hebrew name?

Mae: It’s a Hebrew name. It’s a full Hebrew name, but I make it short to Mae, because I have some feeling with Mae.

William: Nice. It’s a beautiful name. Actually from here, I just noticed how beautiful your eyes… your eyes are really beautiful.

Mae: Thank you. I got it from my… the father of my mother.

William: So, you’ve got an interesting story to tell me?

Mae: Yeah, I met my beautiful boyfriend. It’s an amazing thing.

William: He is beautiful. He’s a good looking guy.

Mae: Isn’t he. Isn’t he. He’s not only beautiful, he’s… he’s amazing.

William: Cool. Well we’re going to meet him in a minute. So how did you meet?

Mae: Before we were good friends. He was my last boyfriend’s friend. Then we met as good friends (for) a long time. After a long time we didn’t meet. Me and my last boyfriend we got separated. Then after we came to visit (eachother) we had a great time together. Then we started the… love. We got full love.

William: Full love?

Mae: Yeah, but it’s just a… it’s the beginning of a long story I think. I hope, I hope, I really hope.

William: Very nice story.

Mae: It is.

William: Let’s have him jump in. Come on and scoot on over here real quick and say hello. The other part of that story.

Mae: I can continue blah blah blah…

William: How are you?

Masa: I’m fine, thank you.

William: Well you have a beautiful Israeli girlfriend. What’s the difference… how are Israeli girls different from Japanese girls?

Masa: So she’s really an amazing girl. Not different but really fully different. I think everybody is the same, but full difference, full originality. Many kinds (of people), but, what can I say?

William: What’s next after Japan?

Mae: We’re going back to India. We’re making a restaurant. An Israeli and Japanese restaurant, that I started last year and Masa came after. And uhh, we’re going to make it this season too, it’s about seasons only. In the mountains in north India. Amazing place! So people (are) going to eat our food and going to enjoy our food, and our atmosphere all the time… traveling people. So this time we’re going to stay in India, I don’t know how long.

William: You don’t know how long? You have to send me an email, let me know, I’ll come to your restaurant for sure.

Mae: If you’re on your way so, more than welcome.

William: How do I say “good luck” in Hebrew?
