“Memories Remain”
This week my little boy turned 6 years old.
I can’t believe how fast time flies.
He certainly is growing up fast.
6 years old! I guess my earliest memories start around 6 years old.
I remember crying because I didn’t want to go to school.
I remember my pet dog. His name was Chance. He ran away.
I remember learning to ride a bicycle at my grandfather’s house.
I remember learning to swim at the YMCA. I was scared to dive head first.
Who was that little person… the 6 year old ME? Where did he go?
As we grow and change and become totally different people…
only the memories remain.
My little boy is growing so fast. He’s changing so fast.
Now he’s 6 years old, but soon that little boy will disappear.
And only the memories will remain.
